Green Tea

Green Tea, derived from the leaves of the Camellia sinensis plant, is one of the most widely studied botanical ingredients in skincare. It is rich in antioxidants, polyphenols, and anti-inflammatory compounds that help protect and restore the skin. In topical products, it is most commonly used in the form of Green Tea Extract, which contains concentrated levels of its active compounds — especially epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG).

Green Tea has been used for centuries in traditional medicine, and in modern skincare, it is favoured for its ability to soothe irritation, combat free radical damage, and reduce visible signs of aging and inflammation. It is found in serums, moisturisers, sunscreens, masks, and acne treatments.

Benefits for Skin

  • Reduces inflammation and redness, making it ideal for sensitive or acne-prone skin.
  • Helps regulate sebum (oil) production, which may reduce breakouts and shine.
  • May protect collagen and elastin, supporting skin firmness and elasticity.
  • Assists in calming irritation caused by other active ingredients or environmental stress.
  • Supports overall skin tone, clarity, and a more even complexion.
